Them colours really don't go well, the black gradient on the navigation doesn't look so good. It's plain but in a terrible way, I really dislike it. I know this is your first layout (reading thread title) but I've seen so many better first attempts.

You've got the basic template, not just expand on it and work on the wow factor.

Not sure on colors, just don't use blue.
As for font: Verdana works well, in my opinion.

    Hello Milto:,
This layout is pretty basic and simple.
Try looking at a few layouts on official/unofficial fansites and see their layouts.
Then get inspiration from their layouts, and try creating it yourself.
When I create a layout, I always think "will I use this or not?".
If I would use it, I'll put it on this forum/sell it.
If I wouldn't use it, I'd be editing it until I think I'd use it.

Keep on working on layouts, and you'll get better at them!

The navigation bars are a bit chunky and I don't like the colours could be better.

3/10 if I'm honest, try looking at other successful fansite and they're layouts and grab some ideas

Im not to keen on it, if its ment to be a Habbo layout make it a bit more Habboey. Also, the layout needs a better background then black. You have the basic, lets make it advanced. Keep trying and you will get better, once upon a time Meti was like this, and then he grew to be a strong good designer as you will!
