Website setup ( just a quick question )

Ok i have recently started a site and would like to have some help. If you go to the site it comes straight up with an index. Which i dont want i want it to go straight into the site. I think i know how to do it but im at my grandads right now so i cant do an ything about it. the site is www.signatures.talktalk.net however if you put http://www.signatures.talktalk.net/S...ages/Home1.htm thats what i want it to start straight up on. Do i have to name a certain file as home or something ?? If you can give any suggestions on how to get rid of the index please let meknow. All replies will be +repped

( dont comment on my rubbish graphics it was just a test and yes page 1 is ment to be blank )

Move all the files 1 dir up and make sure the first page you want your visitors to see is called index.htm or index.html
