Shouldn't the default skin be the site skin? And then if people still like the older skin, they can change to it manually? I think that if you click the link from Habbox to Habboxforum and you aren't signed in, it should atleast match the site.

Hmmmmmmm, I do have to agree, it'll look a lot better, and will keep up with the modern age, as the old skin looks, well, run down.
And it'll be a better feel and more welcoming for new users to see a clean new feel, and feel like the Forum is linked with the actual site
I'm using the site skin now, it's nice but I am too use to using the classic forum skin. So I'm gonna change back. I do agree that it should be the default skin because it does make the forum look a lot more up to date and also matches the Habbox.com skin which new users will be use to. Thinking about it, I think I might try to get use to it.
i use site skini agree with you obviously keep the classic skin but the primary skin should be site skin to match. Original classic skin users could easily change

I disagree, there are two courses of action you can take.
1) Streamline Habbox as an "organization" (its the best way I can describe it, I don't mean the actual decision structure etc.) Make the identities one and everything match up. HabboxLive HxF and Hx with the same look.
2) Make Habbox one entity but have it possible to have three spheres operating at the same time.
With option one you would use the site skin (or a selected design) across the three sites. With option two each site has some originality.
I prefer option two because I think each site reflects a slightly (or largely) different userbase, and also provides different services. Perhaps we will change this policy, yes it might help to increase cross-user registrations and would help from a visual perspective to help people know Habbox and HxF are linked but I think the title does that alright. I'm inclined to stay with the second option, giving HxF, Hx, and HxL slightly different identities, and the Classic Skin is Habbox's
It costs nothing to be a good friend.

But..
Even if the default skin wasn't either but something that looks more modern so if somebody from Habbo or not stumbled across habboxforum they wouldnt look at the classic skin and puke. IMO a good skin can entice me to venture on and lurk the forums and even register on a forum. The amount of times i see a poor skin and run a mile (not literally). I dont dislike the classic skin i just think its out dated, keep it by all means as many Habbox users prefer it. But at a new members perpective it isn't very appealing.
If I was joining a new forum and the default skin was the classic skin on here i'd feel it was quite oldish and empty. I agree with the idea of having the site skin default.
I was just about to make a thread saying the exact same thing
When people who have never been on the forum before come and see the Classic skin I dont think they will be too impressed.
I would use the Site skin but because I clear my cache/browser history thing every time I close FF, it means when i come back its always on the Classic Skin and I get fed up changing it![]()
