Question [iPhone] Help with some details :P [+Rep]

    Hi,

I am looking into getting the iPhone for xMas but I need to know a few things, like:

Does it use a sim card (or is it saved all on phone?)

If uses sim, can I use my other phones 02 genie card?

Can you download music of internet then add via USB (somebody told me you can't :S)

    Thanks

Every phone uses a SIM card, so yes it does use a SIM card. Any O2 SIM card will work (I'm guessing you would be going PAYG)

An iPhone works like an iPod, you put your music into iTunes and then sync.

    Your signature is very annoying.

Yes, all mobile telephones use sim cards to connect to the telephone network. Your contacts are saved to the phone, as well as SMS messages. It comes with 8 or 16GB memory for music + videos.

It takes O2 genie cards, yes. But you get a sim with it and can keep your own number, the sim that comes with it gives you 12 month free browsing (on Pay as you go).

Yes you can, you can even do it on the phone, the iTunes store lets you buy tracks for 79p which will download to the iPhone and then once plugged into your computer will upload to your computer.
    That went fast.

Not all phones use SIM cards. On CDMA networks the network information is programmed into the phone itself. However, there are no iPhones on CDMA networks.

Your sig is even more annoying. And you could always download songs for free, connect your iPhone and then put them on for free.
That's why we seize the moment, try to freeze it and own it, squeeze it and hold it cause we consider these minutes golden.

Yeah but I find that a bit unfair really, because artists have worked hard creating music. I buy all my music from HMV Online, it's 69p and DRM free. I especially buy indie artists songs if I like them...

Yeah, you're right. I download albums and songs from popular artists from torrents and stuff, but when it comes to independent artists like N-Dubz and Lights and Sounds I buy it.

Aye, I don't see a point in buying off of really rich Artists just so they can get more money when we're not as wealthy as them
