Unlocking iphone

Hiya

Basically I have bought an iphone and am waiting on it being delivered.

I will not be using the whole crappy contracts they offer you though, and I currently use a SIM only contract thats on o2.

I'm wondering if I will be able to just stick this in and use it? Or will I need to unlock?

If I do need to unlock it, how do I go about that? I've seen "turbo unlock sims" and stuff on ebay so is that the way? lol

I will also be looking for jailbreaking help pretty soon I guess rofl... how easy is it?

Yeah lol. The contract would be on a sim card, not the phone, so even if it did have a contract on it, you could take the sim card out and there would no longer be a contract.

I think he means, for example if the phone was locked to Orange, you may have got Orange exclusive applications and after unlocking, they would be corrupt or something.
