    Default The Winter Flu

    Hey guys and gals,

A few days ago I got the flu which means I don't sleep at all, I have a dry cough, I have excess nasal mucus, I feel extremely cold then extremely hot, and it's all getting to me.

I've got Night Nurse, Sudafed, Paracetamol, Nirolex and none of them really work.

    Has anyone got any tips?

    Thanks,
    H0BJ0B

I've got it right now as well.

    • Try to not change temperatures too much (just stay indoors)
    • If you get too hot, take clothes off, because bacteria and everything thrives in the heat
    • Take 1-2 Paracetamols at least every 4 hours but DO NOT TAKE MORE THAN 8 IN 24 HOURS!
    • Take lots of rest, the body can heal itself faster this way

Those are some of the main tips that do actually help (or should do).

I try to sleep, however I can't. I end up just lying there for the whole night trying to get to sleep.

Idk about flu, but for a cold if you have a blocked nose or blocked synases then I suggest a shower. Obviously if temperature is an issue just have it at a medium temp, nothing OTT in either direction.
For sleep, don't try to force yourself if you know you're not tired. I'd just try to get some sleep when you know yourself, I feel tired and could fall asleep.
