    Question Authorized PS3 HDD Upgrade

    Hello

Well i'm getting a 80gb PS3 for xmas, and i know you can upgrade the HDD all the way up to 750gb, but i wondered is it an authorized procedure if you get it done by like a game shop, or shouldnt it be done atall, cos i heard if you do it illegally (unauthorized modification ) you can get kicked out of PSN and other things that will limit your PS3 capabilities

    Thanks.

Max GB you can you put in a PS3 that I can remember is 320gb. It's not illegal. Sony themselves help you to replace the HDD

    Its only?
£150 is alot of money, you should give it to your parents as a Christmas present or something, seeing as they give you a gift every year.

I don't think Sony are ********s like Microsoft. I think thet let you upgrade your hardware without it voiding your warranty and pretty much banning your console.

I think the best thing to do is post on the official playstation forums
