Design, what to do from here?

I currently have the following but what to do for the content? and need to have a picture of her in the banner but really I'm clueless. Anything better than my original design (www.amyconnelly.net) so hmmmm any idea's?

Ummm perhaps a watermarked background of her would look nice. And perhaps a sub-navigation section on the left hand side would fill up the page more, and have space for advertisements.
