British school scraps yearly Nativity play for Asian play

Not to sound offensive but a school that scraps a yearly Nativity play thats proberly been going on for 40 years for some Asian play... Now dont get me wrong but its Britian and this was in a mixed school. In my mind its wrong, but hey if your taking it the wrong way i understand.

What im getting at is Christmas here in Britian is Britians Christmas, not that other races and religions shouldnt be able too be part - Heck im all for it, and i dont mind anyone beliving in whatever but its getting stupid now.

Its like some people move into our country and have a differnt religion, or view they proberly lived in our country for several weeks then they complain about Christmas Lights and how its against there religion and they want them to be renamed lights or whatever.. something dull.

Its not that im offensive or racist in anyway, but what im saying here is you could say our country Britian is just one big tradition. However because of all these complaints from other races / religions i feel our treasured tradition is fading away, maybe to one day the point where it will be offensive to say the word "Christmas".

Does anybody have anything to say about this? Or does everyone think im just a paranoid Brit who deserves to be punched in the face. Im not the guy to give lectures, and im certainly dont want to be a complete Jerk however i find it hard to belive i will get any non threatning replys to this thread, so im just reminding people in no way is it suppose to be hateful or argumentive.

Also id love to hear from those who dont celebrate Christmas and there views, and from other religions if possible.

I totally agree, apart of christmas is a good ole nativity play. In my town they put up special lights so that we didnt offend the other religious people. I mean how pathetic, they all celebrate their own christmas, Islam had theirn last monday I think, I remember not many of my islamic friends were in school. And they celebrate christian christmas so I dont actually think it is them that have a problem with us celebrating out own religion in our own country (well majority) But it is the society's doo gooders who think we have to be equal to everyone. They celebrate their own festivities and then ourn, we generally only celebrate ourn so who cares?

The world is going to the dogs when 'race' and 'religion' are concerned. I can see christmas being turned into comething called ''A celebration for all'' or something like that.

I think this is pathetic.

The nativity play isn't just to celebrate a stupid religion (imo, all religions are stupid), its also to get kids involved in them, build up there confidence.

Don't our years have something to do with the birth of jesus?

if thats true, then they will be wanting us to change how we calculate dates next.

Yeah, it's ludicrous that it has been changed especially for an Asian one, this is England!! Although they have to please a majority and how do we know that the majority of students aren't Asian?
