Default New Pc - RAM Question.

I have 4GB of ram, but will be running windows XP, I'm told that it only recognises 2GB, Is there any way around this? or is it still able to use 4GB.
    PM me for help.

I'm not too sure but I believe it's the core of the Operating System and it manages the memory using a few simple maths calculations so it theoretically is not possible.

Perhaps an upgrade to Windows Vista 64-bit is in order?
