    Default Apple mini display port

OK so if you have the new MB or MBP's youll know you cant use the old Mini DVI to VGA adapters and need one of these

So im presuming it goes from the MBP then you use the DVI cable can you not use a VGA

You would need a DVI > VGA converter too.

$30 for a cable? Stuff like this sums up Apple for me, call me trolling or trying to cause arguments but that's ridiculous no matter who's selling it.

It may just be me being half asleep, but is that suggesting the new MacBooks don't have the incredibly practical, standard DVI/VGA port for projectors and monitors? That's is an incredibly poor decision by Apple... It was bad enough they got rid of it on the Air and now expect you to buy an extra item when it could of been fitted as standard. A poor decision.

Indeed it's only fitted for their Apple cinema display, and I mean how many people has the new one (Or one at all for that matter ) - They're guaranteed to make an easy $30 (or £35 in the UK!) selling the adaptor and clearly most people who want to output the screen elsewhere will be forced to buy it, but I imagine their loyal followers may just think 'Oh look Apple do a monitor lets buy that instead!' because that seems to be how Apple makes money.

Oh look we released an iPod with the ability to shake to shuffle, this is totally worth a £120 upgrade..
