    This happened to me.
    Uninstall then re-install if you still want to carry on using it properly.
    Or switch to another free thing.

    I think it's saying that you have a corrupted filed and therefore not recieving updates.

    I suggest you re-install it.

    There's a corrupt file, you're still protected, but it won't update.
    Why have 2 AV's btw?
    1 is just enough. :S

    C:\ProgramData\avg8\update\download

    Go there and delete all the ".ctf" files, don't delete the any other just the CTF.

    Not only that one is enough, running two anti virus can cause compatibility and stability problems. So I suggest you pick either Avast or AVG and don't use both.
