Default Youths jailed for teenager attack

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/kent/7826716.stm <--- Thank god dirty scum

For those of you who wont know, Both Sam (the vicitm and a good friend) and grant (one of attackers) went/still go to my school. However Grant Was Expelled Last year for dealing drugs.

As far i am concerned, he deserves to rot in hell!

    (grant is person on right)

Two youths have been sentenced to a minimum of four years in jail for an attack which nearly killed a 17-year-old A-level grammar school student.

Aidan Shepherd and Grant Vanscolina, both 17 and from Ramsgate, Kent, had admitted wounding with intent and robbery in the attack.

Their victim, Sam Eastwell, was found with serious head injuries in Ramsgate on 7 August.

Police said the pair ran away after the attack and left Sam to die.
After the hearing, Det Insp Andy Somerville said Sam had been resuscitated by ambulance staff.

Sam underwent a number of life-saving brain operations and remained in a critical condition for two weeks.

At one stage, medical staff considered his condition so fragile that he would not survive the night.

"Despite having made what can only be described as a miraculous recovery, Sam is still suffering from the injuries he sustained and his life will never be the same," said Mr Somerville.

    'Stealing possessions'

He said Shepherd and Vanscolina were motivated solely by greed and a desire to obtain "easy money" when they attacked him as he listened to music on his headphones.

"Using a pick-axe handle and a length of wood, the defendants repeatedly clubbed and kicked Sam to the ground before stealing his possessions," he said.

The pair got away with his wallet containing £75, his mobile telephone, an MP3 player and two gold rings.

The hunt to find Sam's attackers involved more than 80 Kent Police officers.

Shepherd and Vanscolina were arrested a week after the attack.
Judge Adele Williams sentenced Shepherd, of Hereson Road, and Vanscolina, of Pegwell Road, to indeterminate sentences with a minimum of four years before being considered for parole.

She said both teenagers had lived "selfish and unfocussed" lives at the time of the attack on Sam.

    'Obsessed with cannabis'

"Each of you were obsessed with the use of cannabis," she added.
Sam, who was in court surrounded by his family and friends, said afterwards that he was "happy" with the sentence.

He said the worst thing about the experience was that his family thought he might die.

"My nearly losing my life wasn't so bad for me as it was for my family at the time," he said.
He added that he had returned to school and had even sat an exam before attending court.

They should be sentenced for a lot longer than that.

They should be stabbed and left to die, let's see how they like it.

The British legal system is rubbish, allows criminals off with minimal sentances who end up reoffending after they're let out.
