    Default ajax/jquery/javascript help.

kk for my new site im going to have a single page linking to some external pages like so

that will all be in a wrapper div. Now, when the visitor clicks one of the links that isnt external, it will appear like this

Now i can code all of that easy, but i want a slick ajax/javascript/jquery code that will make the transition 'slide' if you like. A bit like http://today.im/ when you click register or sign in.

    +rep to anyone who helps

    Ryzie, your comment is pathetic.

jQuery will do it look @ the UI effects they offer.

Don't use jQuery if you're new to javascript, scriptaculous/prototype is great.

I haven't used jquery before, but if I was going to do what your wanting to do, I would use prototype and scriptaculous.

You can find out how to use Ajax with Prototype here:
    http://www.prototypejs.org/learn/introduction-to-ajax

You can find all the scriptaculous effects here:

    Good luck

I've modified it a bit to act more like the one you wanted - so it drops in one way, and comes in the other. I've also added a bit to make it random so it won't always be the same. I hope you like it. http://pastebin.me/498beb0f7fb11
