    Default School and Point?

    Ok,

For years I have said Im not going to work in an office when im older, as to be honest, I think its a waste of life.

Everyday till you finish school/college you basically do the SAME thing.

I honestly think all this crap about education atm is silly, I mean 90% of people will sit in an office whatever grades they get.

    --

Personally I want to run my own business when im older, probably to do with property.

    --

Does anyone ever feel that life is kind of too short to waste, sitting in an office. People always complain about it, how they have to do it to live etc, but is it really true, or is it just most people dont ahve the guts to try things they want to do, and end up sitting in an office?

I agree with parts of what your saying but I don't think that school is a complete waste of time. I just think that students should have more controll on what they're learning and there should be less of it. And yes, school is much like work when you get older. Repetitive.
I've always liked being different, I want to be an actor so I can escape this repetivity and live how I want to live

Thats all well and good, I assume most want to be rich and have their own business etc but if there was the same amount of buinesses as the population of the world then we would be screwed. Also, depending on circumstance you may get the change to own your own business or you wont. + Unless you win the lottery I would love to know where you would get good money from to start your own property business.

you go to school to learn and if u think its a waste, think what it would be like if u were living in the 3rd world. It gives you skills which will help u get to whatever job u want to. You follow the course you want to. After year 9 u make your own choices and so no, its not a waste. you develop skills for the line of work u want to go to. Some peeople want to do office jobs, and dont find it boring.

If no one had grades though, how would they know who's best suited to the office jobs? If they had 3 applicants, some might get D grades, one might get B grades and another gets A*s when they went to school, they know who to give the job too. If the three didn't have any grades how would they know which one to pick?

That's the immediate flaw to your plan but there are plenty more and most people would be surprised how much they learn.

Everyone knows the stuff in Maths you do is no use unless you become a Maths teacher, but if you work hard or are intelligent, your grade will reflect this.

lol you are sadly mistaken jordy
Stuff you learn in year 7 is put to use in computer games. Google uses vectors and other things. Engineering will use maths. A lot if not most of the jobs out there will use maths whether its just simply adding up or calculating the velocity of a rocket to reach a certain spot etc. maths gets a lot of questions about why theyre doing it but youll realise if u carry it on all the way through ur life and end up using it in your job that what you did wasnt pointless

I dont just think of property business to be rich And I already know a fair ammount about it, sincer my dad has been investing in property for years. Bought one in Turkey that should be finished in April in July, and one in spain in around march.

Yeh i agree with that. I think doing the Equations in science, unless i want to be a scientist is a 100% waste of my time. I might aswell be listening to a radio telling me football is crap. (Which i would never believe )

I guess you're right there but it does become more pointless as you go on, stuff in Year 7 may help people in later life, most the stuff at GCSE is either pointless or only useful to Physisists, and if you look at how many Physisists there is, it hardly makes it worth it.

All the more reason then to get decent grades to separate yourself from the others.

the stuff u learn in year 10+11 is used in a-level maths. a-level maths is used at degree level in a lot of levels. Trust me, it goes a lot further than you think and not just used by physicists
