For a first, that's pretty good although there's a few pixel errors on the shirt and shading coming from both sides :S

Make sure you keep one light source, I notice you've shaded the left of the hands, but the right of the neck...

Shade the face a little more and sort out the eyebrows because they look like those drawn on eyebrows lol
