Yeah seconded, especially the Hostel films. Also, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes

I'm going to get down to some of the really scary films you'll ever see.

The Exorcist - Very creepy, and very inhumane as It really will disturb you and the voice sticks in your head for years to come

The Amytiville Horror - Remake - Very grueling, and gruesome and very uneasy I would suggest if you want some nightmares watch this.

The Ring 1 & 2 - Good Horror, Not The Best.

Ju 1 & Ju 2 - The Grudge 1 & 2 - Japanese Style - Forget the American remake of The Grudge you want to watch Ju 1 And Ju 2 Like they say the Japs love to put scare to a film and they did just that.

The Shining - " Heres Johnny " More Like.. " BE SCARED.... "

Edit: Sorry didn't read that you wanted movies with torture, no seriously dude it's not horror its just basically gore, gore and more gore. Watch Horror Films!

The Excorcism OF Emily Rose - Quite Scary.

One of the greatest films produced ever.

I'd suggest the Ring films and the Grudge films. They are just ... awkward.
