Hey, I have an idea. We could get a thanks button, that allows us to show appreciation for useful posts. This could provide feedback to the user on what the community thinks etc.
Thanks,
Ixel

This is not necessary as it already exists.
By clicking this button '' on a users post you can add a comment and increase their reputation.
Do you mean like on Digg comments when you can like + or - a post?
If so I like it.![]()
That's just pointless and annoying, we have reputation to tell if you liked or disliked a post, we don't need some extra buttons to do that job.
Plus you're storing data for EACH post in the database, on how many votes each post has.
Habbox Forum is a very popular forum, storing that data would:
#1 increase the overhead when actually posting.
#2 increase the backup size of the database and the size.
Which those two things, would slow the forum down a significant amount depending on how much it was actually used.
Think of the "edit slowness" a couple of months ago x 3.

you can either
'approve' or 'dissapprove' a post
just click the one you wish, and you have the option to write a message and/or write your name.
However, people who are subscribed to VIP can view who has given them reputation.

Now that's just even more stupid.
Now you're wanting to write a message and/or write your name.
Now this is a forum, we can quote posts... we don't need to write our message and our name in little "thanks" things.
Can't you just quote someone, or send them a private message, or even better.. leave them a reputation. You can even put a little message!
Or just quote them like I said.. here's how it works..
Who would have thought we would have something this amazing on a forum..
What are u talking about :S
I was telling him how the reputation system works :S
I know what you mean, however in my opinion I think this would be quite annoying. (I've seen it used in the past on other forums)
Sorry for any confusion :SHowever, people who are subscribed to VIP can view who has given them reputation.
