    Default Maths question, urgent :(

    Alright I'm absolutely crusty at maths so here goes:

    Reference:

    If B = 16. C = 2, D=4, E=8, calculate the value of A (D for question c) for thr following expressions. Note * means multiply and / means divide.

    A) A = B + C * D / E - C
    B) A = (B + D * 2) / (E * D+C)
    C) D = D + E

    Whats the answers?

    Thanks
    Back for a while.

    The important thing for this is just to remember the order of operations. PEMDAS is the abbrv. and I always remembered it with the expression 'Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally'. So yeah, it means you should calculate problems in this order: Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication & Division, and Addition & Subtraction.

    A) A = 16 + 2*4/8-2
    A = 16 + 8/8 -2
    A = 16 + 1 - 2
    A = 15

    B) A = (16 + 4 * 2) / (8 * 4 + 2)
    A = (16 + 8)/(32 + 2)
    A = 24 / 34
    A = 0.7

    C) D = D + 8

    Someone else should verify (i might have messed up one of the calculations). I'm also not sure on C? Did you mistype the problem?

    I've pretty much quit Habbo & Habbox, but I still stop by every once in a while. If you knew me, send me a message saying hi, and I promise I'll get back to you! Miss all you wonderful people who saved me from boredom all those years.

    A) A = B + C * D / E - C
    If B = 16. C = 2, D=4, E=8,

    A = 16 + 2 * 4 / 8 - 2
    = 16 +8 / 6
    = 24 / 6
    = 4
