I don't think that's what Earth Hour is intended for
It's more of turn off your lights than close down websites

That's true, and even if the servers were turned off you'd probably use so much leccy turning them back on the whole hour of energy saved would be wasted.

Don't think anyone remembers but this is what Google means by lights out, they did it last year for a small amount of time.



They just want the website to be 'darker' in an attempt to bring peoples attention to the environment and the Earth. It happens later today so it's probably a bit late to do anything.
