It'll be blacklisted, be extremely careful with lost/stolen mobile phones, I would hand it in to the police.

just keep. or sell it off to a shop like cex say you dnt hve the box or just buy the box n accessories from ebay. you cud gt a bit for it.

Yea, as said before it would be black-listed. In your case I doubt the owner will report it. So just hold on to it.
However, it's still bets to hand it in.

Whatever you do don't sell it to any pawn shops or CeX.
I know for a fact CEX check the IMEI number against blacklisted phones, if they found it was blacklisted they'd ring the police.

Keep it but keep any sim out of it for 14 days - after that they give up and its your for the keep
