An Idea To Change The Job System

I've thought of a way that the job system at Habbox could change resulting in a much more professional and efficient way to pick people for jobs.

Imagine if there was a section on Hxf called "Your job applications", anyone interested in being hired for a job could post in there. All the threads that users make would not have to be visible to other users but visible to all department managers. In the thread, users would write about themselves including what key skills they have which would be appeal to different departments. Basically a small biography or CV.

Whenever a department feels that they need more staff they could browse this section. If they think that a person has pretty much said everything that is needed for a job in there department then they can PM that user asking if they would be interested in having a trial/job.

I think this is much better than opening applications because departments can quickly choose a user, PM them and hopefully give them a job in no time. But with applications you have to keep them open for weeks and look at hundreds of applications when only a hand full of staff is needed.

As I mentioned before, only department managers (and (A)GM's) would be able to see the threads as this will give everyone privacy and prevent peoples biographys from being copied.

Also, what if they don't want the job, it's a waste of time. I just think it's much easier for people to apply for the job, rather than the job looking for them.

People could write a list of any jobs that they do not want to be offered to prevent that from happening.

Your both right, there may not be anything wrong with it at the moment but from my point of view I think the idea I have suggested would improve the way it works. But we all have different points of views.

How can you write a CV for a online site? Why would you want to write a CV for something which you don't get paid for!
Yes, it'd be good training for the real world i agree, but that's for schools to disclose with teenagers, not the responsibility of a forum.
Another flaw would be the fact that people would abuse this system.. plus the fact you'd need to check the forum regularly & read all "CV's", instead of the select group who actually are keen on a certain department.

I like the job system now, and there are no problems with it. People often lie on CVs which is why recommendations are the best source of staff searching, for HxHD at least.

For jobs like HxHD staff we go on recommendations, like Leah said. That way the best candidates can be picked to go on trial.
