Hello.

I have a sub-menu on my webpage, with 4 sub-headings and about 5 links under each of them, as shown below.

I would like a code (javascript/css) whereby a user can click on one of the heading, and the links will expand down or contract up to show only a header.
The links are text.

I'm not too sure if it's exactly what you're looking for, but you could try Slide.fx in the Mootools framework?
