Well LightScribe is where your DVD drive has a laser to burn images on the front of the disc.

It is for use with a LighScribe compatible CD/DVD drive on a LighScribe disk.

Basically, you put a lightscripe disk in your disk drive upside down and use the lightscribe software to "burn" an image on to the back of the disk.
