Default Nadal beaten in Paris - Murrays chance!

Watched this live earlier but wasn't online to post.

Who would have thought it? Nadal beaten for the first time ever at Roland Garos, who would have thought it, Andy Murray now the second favourite to be NEW French Open Champion, on the surface which he dislikes most - clay. Just the small matter of getting past the greatest player of all time... Roger Federer.

    Come on Andy!

Yeah, I watched some of it too. I sure hope Murray can do it, he played some decent tennis earlier. Federer is still amazing, when he decides to be, Murray will struggle to beat him. Murray has a real good chance, relatively easy route to the final. He would have met Nadal in the semis, but now he's out... who knows?!

If Murray gets to the final and Federer doens't, Murray becomes the number 2 ranked player in the world...

And I can really see him winning this if he beats his next opponent. Fernando Gonzales - who is a specialist on clay surfaces, if Murray beats him, I do not see why he can't go on to win the tournament.

As I said, there's still the small matter of Federer in the final. (IF Murray gets their)

ah well, he did well to get that far considering the surface. although admittedly he wasn't thrown up against wonderful opposition. he'd get destroyed by nadal on clay
