    Default Best IRC Client [Longish]

    Hey,

Well I have a website with a friend on HxF and I want to setup an IRC client so of course people can come in and chat and whatever they happen to find a need for it.

Just wanted to know the best one their was out their if you have to pay it's not the end of the world specially if the service is good. I've never actually setup an IRC client before so also i'd rather have something that's easy although that also don't matter to much because the other guy would probably be able to set it up.

Also would like to run an addon in the channel so it announces any new posts that are posted onto our Wordpress Blog.

So yeah throw your suggestions at me please again if you have to pay I don't mind specially if it's good and your getting your money's worth and so on. I also have my own windows server so if their is something you can run on your server to have your own IRC client that would also be cool.

Thanks to anyone who helps and suggests anything.
Well didn't end up being long in the end so not all bad. But thanks!

    Regards,
    Berch

Don't run your own server, get mIRC or I irssi and go onto Rizon or something similar and create your own channel.

Client, id say Gnome-Xchat is nice, basically xchat with a cleaner UI. But i think your looking for a server, so like Jewish bear said, your probs best off creating a channel on a larger pre-existing IRC server
