also are locks good around lvl 25+

Most classes are balanced in the early levels and what class a person enjoys vary a lot depending on style. All I can suggest is:

If you enjoy tanking; Druids, Death Knights, Paladins or Warriors
If you enjoy healing; Druids, Shamans, Paladins or Priests
If you enjoy ranged dps; Mages, Priests, Warlocks, Hunters, Druids or Shamans
If you enjoy close range dps; Druids, Paladins, Shamans, Warriors, Death Knights or Rogues
If you don't want to be a mana user; Warriors, Rogues, Death Knights or Druids (to a small extent)

Now as for faction:

If you're a bit ginger beer; Alliance.

I reccomend mage, its very fun! You can use portals at level 30 and can teleport. Magic attacks are good aswell. The only downside is their defence but you can enchant their armour to make their defence high.
