WMP subtitles help

Hi, ive got the .avi file and the .srt subtitles file.

However how do I get these working in WMP 11?

Ive google'd and people say they both need to be named the exact same, which they are :S

Does the subtitle file have to be in a certain folder or something?

It needs to be the same name and be in the same folder as the video file, you also need to install DirectVobSub, then go to Play -> Captions and Subtitles -> On if available.

Ohhh I haven't done the DirectVobSub bit thanks +rep if I can
