    Default Motherboards

    Hello

My current motherboard is well er ****!. So I'm gonna save up amazon vouchers I earn from surveys and buy a new one, although, I know what I'm looking for, I don't wanna get a crap one *again*. So i need your guys help.

It needs to hold 775 socket duo, 2gb ram PC2-6400 and 2gb ram PC2-5300. I'd also like it if I could overclock on it, as my current can't (v. anoying.)

    Many Thanks
    Luke

You shouldn't be mixing and matching those RAM speeds as a little FYI.

Look at some of the ASUS and Gigabyte boards, stay away from the Nvidia ones IMO.

Never argue with an idiot, he'll drag you down to his level, and beat you with experience.

Why not? The PC-6400 modules will slow down and be underclocked to run at the same speed as the PC-5300s. No problem other than losing a bit of potential, probably unnoticeable speed.

As long as you get the same brand of RAM you shouldn't have much of a problem
