Default Using PC Monitor as TV

I've got a 17" Dell PC Monitor I'd like to use as a TV and I was wondering, if I get a VGA to SCART (or RCA) cable that would work if I used a Freeview box with an aerial in right?

Plus the sound, I have speakers but they're 3.5mm Jack, is there anyway I can plug them in? I thought about a 3.5mm Jack to RCA audio, but no luck :/

I'm not sure it can be done. I read you need a converter from VGA to RGB then I think you can then convert to scart not sure though.
Never argue with an idiot, he'll drag you down to his level, and beat you with experience.

Freeview > Scart to RCA > RCA to VGA > Monitor

Have you looked into getting a TV card instead?
