That's disgusting. The fact he was stabbed in the legs makes it sound even worse in terms of intent because it could potentially end his career a lot easier than say a stab to the arm.

Yeah someone from Derby is being held on suspicion of attempted murder. I wonder why someone would just randomly stab him and his mum. I doubt they wanted to kill him though, just end his career, who would aim for the leg?

If you stab the arteries in the leg, it could kill you, especially if it happens in both legs, + they did it so he has less chance of playing football again.
