Ipod touch problem +rep

Hello i have a ipod touch 8gb...
when i connect to the internet and go onto the youtube icon (on the homescreen) and try to play a video it says 'cannot connect to youtube'

any ideas why this happens

if i go onto safari it does the same.. but i found a way to get round it..
click Set as favourite on video, then it will come up trust this website etc etc

if i click yes it lets me play the video...

anyone help me please as i want the propper ipod youtube thing to work!!!!!!

Do other sites work?
Try to update your OS software to the newest version?

I have a feeling this happens when you haven't synced to iTunes. Try re-syncing and see if that works.
