And if you're in Year 10, chances are Work Experience will be coming up in the new year, it's not a permanent job, but some people get paid.
But yea, your best chances are a paper round![]()
In guernsey there is because of shortage of people like in new look where i work etc but not in england there are so many people are able to do it that are better then you![]()
You don't get payed for work experience. It'll even have to say on your CV it's for experience and not for a proper job.
No I don't know any sites, unless you're a school drop out and already on the dole, I can't recommend job centre plus.
That's why we seize the moment, try to freeze it and own it, squeeze it and hold it cause we consider these minutes golden.
If the employer feels you've do a well enough job on your work experience, they can pay you for it, hence the "but some people get paid."
There aren't many things for pre 16's since you don't have your National ID etc. So I could only advise doing stuff around your house etc. that will get you pocket money, or get a paper round.
If you are into football or rugby, you could do a referee's course.
Good money and a fun thing to do.
Plus you only need to be 14 to do it![]()
You're meant to do a good job anyway, it's work experience. So basically every teenager who works for a week, will get paid. Not going to happen. If the employer feels you've do a well enough job on your work experience, they can pay you for it, hence the "but some people get paid."

Not every work place you go to will do it, for example, my sister went to Woolworths and got paid, yet her friend went to a Primary school and didn't.
Exactly, I have a friend who worked an extra 6 hours in his work experience and the employer was that impressed he gave him the 6 hours worth of pay and a massive discount on any ipod he wanted. Also you may be expected to do good work during your experience which some people do, but then again some people work harder than this and get a reward, and some hardly do anything and are forced to end their experience early because the employer doesn't want them anymore. It's the employers own decision how to reward their staff, some may think its expected and some may be shocked with how well they work.
