If you text a lot something with a real keyboard is your only option tbh. When you say you don't want a slider, do you mean a conventional sliding keypad thing (like http://regmedia.co.uk/2006/12/27/sams_z720_1.jpg) or you don't want anything sliding at all? there are some decent phones with slide out keyboards that are designed for texting. Other than that, have you considered the Nokia E71? That's supposed to be highly rated.
