Default A good movie making software

Anyone know any (doesnt matter if its free or not free) good movie making software with ALOT of effects?

A software which can hopefully do effects like have a hand writing a custom text on a white board or something.

    +rep to all software names.

I use Corel VideoStudio (I hope that's the name!), its competant enough for the stuff I do! As easy to use as windows movie maker but it doesn't crash and has tons more stuff to play with.

I'd recommend Sony Vegas, quite a few plugins for it too

Thanks guys, I am just going to install everything and try it all. Trying to decide over if I should create a movie or a website for my assignment.
A website would no doubt be easier for me, but for this assignment, I think a movie might be better.

I was going to suggest this. You need some c++ things installed to install it though, can't remember the exact name of it

C++ Visual Runtime or something. Should install fine, I can't remember whether it fails or not on x64 bit os.

Most film editing studios these days have either Sony Vegas, or (predominently) Final Cut Pro. So they're the best two to get for professional editing.
