Default Presents For Your Teachers - what not to give

Please take this with humour. It was not written in order to offend anyone, there are always exceptions to the rules, but I thought that some things about gifts for teachers needed to be said! This has been researched with quite a lot of teacher input from all over the world.

What Not To Give To Teachers for Christmas (or other gifts) And Why.

    Part 1: http://bringinghimback.blogspot.com/...-give-and.html

    Part 2: http://bringinghimback.blogspot.com/...s-and-why.html

    Part 3:

Please note that I'm not trying to insult any families or gift givers, particularly if it's a child giving the gift.

So if you love giving gifts to teachers, this might be something to think about! And you'll be able to be slightly more informed.

    E.G.:

    5. Artwork created by your child.

I don't mind if the child decides to give their hand made artwork. But as a parent- the teacher does not want your child's art work if *you* chose to give it to them. He or she is NOT your child's aunt or uncle or grandparent. What do you think the teacher is going to do with the collage? Stick it on their fridge?

I don't have kids, I'm a student teacher, and hang around with teachers a lot.

It all depends where you come from really and the way you're brought up. Where I am, it's a pretty small community so it's pretty normal to give gifts to teachers for Christmas. If you're in somewhere like London with thousands of people in the schools, it will be less common.
