You need to find a way to make it interesting to you. You can force it just by being bloodyminded about it but the best way is to find something about the subject that you do like or link it to something else that you're into, because then you're more willing to learn it and will find it easier to take in whatever knowledge is being thrown at you.

Yeah, you definately need to find a way to make it more appealing towards you. Instead of just randomly studying like lots of people do. Try different things to help you along the way. There are alot of subjects that currently have classes going after school. Basically, if you didn't understand something in class that day, or the day before, then you can go to that class, for about 30 minutes, and have it explained to you. Aswell as that. If you really want to learn it; I always find instead of coming home and doing what I want to do straight away; watch tv, go on the computer etc, you should get your work done first. If you complete your homework, concentrate in class, take pride in your work and your ability to learn, you should be on top of the work and be able to understand it.

    Hope this helps.
I'm burnin' up for you baby.

Revise it, it may be unbearable, but going home and reading your notes over will help it stick.

Find out how you learn best, and introduce this to the subject. For example if you're a visual learner, make mind maps and stick them on your wall.

Try a different way then. Read it aloud to keep you interested perhaps. GEt a friend or family member to test you.

Also would suggest little note cards. Get some sticky notes and put loads of things you need to learn on each. just read a different 1 each time and so then u wont lose interest cause ur doing it in small chunks.

If you're getting bored/falling asleep while reading it - rewrite it or summarize it as you read it. If you're keeping yourself busy by recopying over your notes or by summarizing them it'll hopefully keep you from falling asleep. It also helps your remember the material.

What subject is this you're mainly talking about by the way? If its something like math, doing problems over and over will help you get better at it, and if its something thats more memorization based like biology, rewriting the notes like I mentioned above (doing it on the computer is easiest) will help a LOT! And Charl-Night's idea of notecards is also really good.

I've pretty much quit Habbo & Habbox, but I still stop by every once in a while. If you knew me, send me a message saying hi, and I promise I'll get back to you! Miss all you wonderful people who saved me from boredom all those years.

i was exactly like you when i was in school.

because i love IT - computers, I revised my notes by typing them on Microsoft Word, keep re-typing until you memorize it. keep going over and over and there you go
