Not a fan of it myself, but what really annoys me is how most people think Tim Burton directed it.

I can't say I like it too much either, which is strange coming from a huge fan of animation such as myself. I guess I just dislike the style and feel it doesn't really have any depth. I've never really been a big fan of the 'public holiday' genre anyway. There are much, much better animated films out there.

I only like Christmas films that are live-action and have an '80s or '90s feel to them (if not shot in those decades). That's the exact reason I like 2004's Christmas with the Kranks.

I'm with you there. Although I wouldn't rule out animated Christmas films until you've seen Tokyo Godfathers. Now thats what all Christmas movies should strive to be. I generally don't really like Christmas films though. The comedies can be fun to watch with your family or friends, such as National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and, as you mentioned, Christmas with the Kranks. I can't seem to find much merit it most other Christmas films though.

The animation is nothing new, but the design is different I'll give you that. I too love Pixar, but I personally feel that Studio Ghibli create the best animated films. I find the likes of Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro and Laputa simply mesmerizing.

Anyone that endures 76 minutes of stop-motion deserves the recognition this film has received whether you like it or not, it must of been the most boring years of their lives. XD
