A needle? As in a syringe? If you did, go to the doctor STRAIGHT AWAY. You need an HIV test immediately.

Tetanus usually doesn't start showing symptoms till around 14 days since you stood on the needle, but yeh I wouldn't be too worried unless you start getting muscle stiffness and spasms and fever type symptoms.

Like Zedda said it depends whats on the needle too, for example if the needle was rusty or soil coated you should be a tad more vigilant compared to if it was clean.

It's very hard and rare to contract, however if you do get any symptoms go to your doctor, theres loads of drugs which can treat it.

If you have stood on a syringe (thats dirty, as in may have someone else's bodily fluids on) then you also need to contact your doctor for further advice.

If you're worried about any condition, just go to nhs.uk and theres tons you can read or you can phone NHS Direct for advice and further information on 0845 4647 free of charge.
