    Default Podcasting Microphone (+rep)

I'm going on a podcast next month, and I'd like to see if any of you have good suggestions for a mic I can get online or something.

I'd like something that's not cheap, but good quality.

    Budget of £20.

+rep for any help, even if it's just "LOL U PODCASTIN? LOLOLOL"

Urm, for that budget I would recommend a USB Headset, a dedicated microphone probably wouldn't be worth it because you would have to pay for a stand.

£20 is quite a tight budget and if you already have a mic somewhere then you may as well use that for now.

I don't want an uber decent one. A nice £20 headset would do just fine, I'm looking for some webby suggestions.

Ok, I just checked a Podcast network I listen too's wiki and they recommend the Plantronics .Audio 655 USB Multimedia Headset

Sadly it's just out of price range at £30

Just look for a slightly cheaper one by Plantronics

    Edit: Found one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Plantronics-...3068894&sr=8-2

It isn't USB the whole way (It uses an external converter dongle)but it's better than not USB. It's better to USB because it means that your sound card doesn't process it badly.

You can make most mics sound OK if you just do alot of editing, it obv wont sound as good as a condencer but can sound much much better.
