Information on PS3

Hello all another one of my finds :p,

Well as you may all of known that the Playstation 3 is due to be out sometime 2006. Well did you ever notice the price in the playstations has increased over the years?

First there was Playstation 1, then along came Playstation 2, then along came PSP, now Playstation 3.

From my sources I have found that the playstation 3 will be "expensive" says Sony Computer Entertainment boss Ken Kutaragi according to a report on Cnet.com. A conferance was held in Japan and speaking, Kutaragi said that the console "can’t be offered at a price that’s targeted towards [typical] households"

Support of emerging technology – including Blu-ray discs and HD (high definition) TVs – will significantly increase the launch price, he said. However, it should also prolong the console’s life expectancy. "We're looking at a life cycle of 10 years," Kutaragi told journalists. "We're releasing the PS3 with full HD features from the start so that consumers won't have to buy another version of the console in the future." The PlayStation 3 is due out sometime in 2006.

The exact value of the Playstation 3, will not be allowed to be given out as Ken Kutaragi will not tell anyone except the creators of sony, hopefully a new found way will help lower the prices of the Playstation 3.

I wonder what the difference will be from the PS2. I have a PS2 and I think the graphics are pretty good but then what do I know. They only keep improving things.

Well the playstation 3 is set to be known as a finominal **spelling** creation made by Sony, so I'm gathering it will last for quite some time until a newer model is created.

Another money spin. Mind you they need to keep making bigger and better things to keep custmoers attracted and make more money :p

Indeed, even if the price is high I expect a lot of people will still be purchasing the product and in this case its the Playstation 3, everyone bought the playstation 2 when playstation 1 was over.

i can imagine the PS3 will be exspensive, so will xbox-360, i remeber reading both will be around £200-300

The PS3 will have built in HDD and Broadband compatibilty,Luetooth controllers and infrared ports, firewaire port and a SDD card reader to transfer your digi cam pics onto your PS3

ps3 is only gunna be 500 canadian upon realease tahn 1 month later 300 then eventaully 150 i can wait

The price of the PS3 will not go down that fast, it's the same with when the Playstation 2 was released. It stayed at around the price it was released for several months, then dropped down slightly so I'm guessing it will do the same with Playstation 3.

1. PS3 will not include a hard drive, people will buy sepately:
2. PS3 will not include ir ports (infared) as it was not in the concept design shown at the E3.
3. Sony have discouraged rumours on the price being over $400 dollars

The playstation 3 will definatley outdo the PS2. Having a cell 3.0 ghz or more processor being able to run windows xp, linux or OS X Tiger. The hard drives are said to be fully loaded with linux.
