    Default Newsletter

Following this competition I made when I was staff, I think one of the entries is generally a good idea.

I know we had a 'fail letter' which was stupidely big etc, but I was thinking why don't we have a fairly small newsletter sent to ALL forum members? I mean you have the option to recieve emails from Admins - so why not use it? The newsletter could feature some of the following:

    • What's happened over here at Habbox over the past fortnight?!
    • Staff Changes
    • Forum user *random* spotlight. You could find a random user and interview them on favourite part of the forum, favourite member, favourite etc etc.
    • Management thoughts
    • Random manager/assistant manager interview
I think this could be goodas a community it would let everyone know important things, could be quite fun - and would be pretty simple to do.

    Thoughts?

I wouldn't mind doing something like this myself if Sammeth authorised it

Would be nice to have, it would actually get attention - if my email turned up with it then I WOULD read it - I never read the other one as it was so long, and I didn't even know it was there

There could be a competition for 1 or 2 months VIP each fortnight too - that would certainly get people interested. Like a simple question that people have to read the newsletter for the answer.

If I remember rightly when the newsletter was re-released by infrequent, Jin said that it should be quarterly or half yearly. I like the idea of that and it would have included a lot of the points mentioned in your post. Aswell as that, some of the points you've also mentioned are going to be introduced at some point in the coming weeks/months so would have to have something else to replace that. Anyway, I dont know if it would be a good idea as we don't really want a third, failed newsletter.

If it is short, snappy and INTERESTING with an incentive to read (like a competition for VIP/VIP+) it would be good. I always used to read habbo's when I played. It was sometimes a good read. Now it is just a huge news article with crap - but when it had interesting things in it, it was great.

Doing it fortnightly means it wont have much information on it and the information that is will most likely all be on the first two pages of the announcement forum and I dont like the idea of competitions as we have a seperate dept for that.

Whoever said the comp dept couldn't make a comp for it? Those new room reviews for exampl could have a place.

No one said anything about that - I was just saying. Adding competitions and/or room reviews would just mean it would be easier for it to turn back into something like the old newsletter.

Asimilar idea but short, snappy and something that is emailed to all forum users.
