    Default 360 Question

Hiya, My nephews was using my 360 and they knocked it off the table it was on whilst it was still in use.. The disc drive has burnt into the disc and scratched it all but all i wanna know really is that will it be fine to use still?

I threw another game in it to see what would happen and it didn't damage the disc what so ever. Its all working fine and sounds fine too lol.. Will it scratch any other discs after long use?

I have it insured with game but meh i cant be fussed going through all that hassle ;[

I think it only damages the disk when you move it, not the actual Xbox 360 so I believe it should be fine. What I do suggest though if you're still unsure, put a CD in it for an hour or so and see what it's like. A CD isn't much too lose, especially if you use an old one or something.

    Good idea.

You should be ok, the 360's disc drive isn't really known to scratch disc unless you move the system while its in use.

It will be fine i have done it lots of times it just scratches your disk to death. I did it other week with my mw2 luckily i had coverage on it and took it back and they gave me another one. I did it to my halo 3 once too and microsoft sent me a new one when i complained to them. Your xbox will be fine but your disk will most likely be unplayable.

Some places like GAME can repair the dsics (for a fee I think), and they should work for a while.

It costs a few quid but it can provide great results. Give this a go and if the game still doesn't work, borrow it off of somebody else and install it onto your hard drive then try your disc [you will have to go into your game library and play from hard drive]. As for the 360 itself, it shouldn't have any problems with other games.
