Default Digital Economy Bill [Crackdown on Illegal filesharing]

    Anyone worried?

I don't usually pay for music unless I really like the album after I've usually downloaded it to see if it's any good.

    What's everyone's thoughts?

well yeah lol. in the past few months i've downloaded around 130gb worth of movies, software, tv shows, music etc. so once it's officially implemented, i'll minimalise the amount i download. how will it be regulated at universities though? that's what i'm curious about anyway atm.

How will they catch me (hypothetical) though?

When the politicians sort the country out then maybe i'll care about their digital economy bill and their petty punishments, why dont they go after some real criminals for once instead of penalising the already overtaxed. Ironic that the MPs which fiddled the expenses system are now accusing people (mostly teenagers) of stealing. Often when a government cannot tackle the real issues, they create criminals and targets to persecute.

The real problem is the people distributing it all.

At the end of the day though, this will make me minimise my downloading but my music I'm still gonna try download and use Hotspot Shield to hide my IP.

but lol.. APPARENTLY if u get caught, and taken off the net, theres no stopping you from just signing up with a new ISP haha x

I download more than 300gb easily, however, this wont be stopping me.

There are ways to not be detected and if it means by other means, i will do it.

I only really download music and that's from 4shared or youtube and I usually stream movies so I'm not bothered.
