Nigel Farage seen here earlier this month.

Former UKIP leader Nigel Farage has been injured in a plane crash in Northamptonshire. The plane carrying two people crashed at Hinton in the Hedges Airfield at Steane, near Brackley, at 0759 BST. A Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said Mr Farage and the pilot were freed from the wreckage. Mr Farage was taken to hospital in Banbury with non-life threatening injuries, and the pilot was transferred to Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry. East Midlands Ambulance Service and fire crews are at the scene.
Wow what a day of all days to happen, they reckon the banner has maybe snagged on the plane.

The plane was disgusted by having the UKIP banner on it. Is that his way of advertising though? Fly around 24/7 with the banner instead of going and actually speaking to the people?

I hope the plane is OK. If not then I hope it gets well soon.

Plane looks dead to me. Pilot had to be air lifted to the hospital. Surprised they survived.

Plane is smashed to smithereens. RIP plane. Farage was scanned to see what injuries there were - rumours are that there was a complete absence of a brain Being serious it must have been a real shock and I hope he is okay - looks like modern machinery and UKIP just don't mix. They were only 15 metres from the ground though so it could have been a lot worse and they both got away with minor injuries.

Sounds very lucky to be honest, glad to hear both him and the pilot are okay. Show a little bit of decency, it's one thing not to like a political party but to personally hate someone is a bit different.

Come on Jordy - its a joke! . The Guy is fine. It would have been a lot different if it was a serious accident. Don't hate the person just can't take him seriously.

Perhaps but your post didn't have an ounce of seriousness. He may well not have life threatening injuries but he's not going to be released from hospital for a little, he was very lucky not to be injured and you use it as an excuse to make cheap shots. It's always sensible to draw a line between politics and actual people, for example when Michael Foot died recently many Tories came out to say how loyal and intelligent he was, they hated his policies with a passion (And so did everyone else) but he was a respectable politician and kept to his morals.

    So what was this then?

Again it wasn't serious, he has minor injuries and he is not dead! A joke would not have been made if he had died or had serious injuries. What do you take us for? I doubt many politicians are going to comment on this incident as it is nothing like Micheal Foot.
