Would you work as a bin-man?

I was just wondering, we had a disucussion about this earlier with about 30 people lol. So basically, would you be a bin man?

They get paid £12 an hour and work for about 6 hours a day, its the most paid council job. Yes they do smell & look trampy, but thats in the morning. The start from at 4am and work until about 10am. Pretty easy job, then you have the rest of the whole day off doing what you want.. like I said, they do smell, but when they get home, they change clothes, get a bath and they're not those "tramps" anymore - they're normal people lol

Just weird how everyone expects them to be like hobos who cant afford anything lol - I probably wouldnt want to be a bin man, but hey - if I had no qualifications and I couldn't get a job - then yeah, id probs go for it lol. Would you?

Well bin-man get paid more then teacher assistants and they get treated like crap whilst on the overhand i could end up smelling like crap, if i had no qualifications i'd sit at home on benefits, so my answer is no.

No I wouldn't personally, however if there wasn't bin men who would be taking our rubbish and dumping it for us? So therefore, someone has to do it.

same, if it was my last resort to get me back up on my feet then yeah i would. in the end, jobs a job, and 12 quid is a ******* awesome wage for the job... sure, 4am wake up but hell 12 quid an hour?!

I'd only do it if I have to. I don't think they're trampy or smell, they empty the bins, they don't live in them. :S
