Default Insomniac partners with EA for a multiplat

    http://news.vgchartz.com/news.php?id=80131
Insomniac Games have been making games for sixteen years, most known nowadays for their Resistance and Ratchet & Clank series which have been exclusives to Sony's consoles.
But today all of that is going to change. Insomniac Games have just signed on with Electronic Arts' Partners program, meaning that EA will be publishing their next franchise to multiple platforms.

While this doesn't mean that Ratchet & Clank and Resistance will suddenly be ported over to the Xbox, it does mean that future IPs will appear in multiple places.
David DeMartini, Senior Vice President and General Manager of EA Partners, says, "“This is an exciting day for all of us at EA Partners and for gamers everywhere. Insomniac is renowned for their commitment to quality and their ability to create unique, exciting worlds for gamers to explore. We look forward to help them bring their next blockbuster franchise to the millions of diehard Insomniac fans on PlayStation and the soon to be millions of diehard Insomniac fans on Xbox 360."
While those clinging to the idea that exclusivity is staunchly important, this move is going to expose many more gamers to a high quality developer. That exposure is the real key to success and the whole reason that Insomniac is doing it. Founder and CEO of Insomniac Ted Price states, "Working with EA Partners allows us to extend the reach of our games to a multiplatform audience while retaining ownership of the intellectual property."
The only thing Insomniac are saying about their new game is that it's set in "a brand new universe" and currently in production in their Burbank, California studio.

So is this the halt to resistance and ratchet or will they do the new multiplat and these at the same time? Hmm.

Only their new studio in Burbank will work on multiplatform titles.

    For the best really.

As long as they keep making Ratchet and Clank games I don't care what they do, hopefully they'll bring a decent platformer to the xbox. >.<

I'd rather Ratchet and Clank go multiplatform.

    No point in third-party exclusives.
