    How does school encourage or discourage creativity?

    At my school it's do it the way Headboy and Headgirl do it or you're not deemed good at that subject. When I tried to be creative with my writing I almost got the crap beaten out of me by a load of "friends", because they thought I'd copied it. I think if teachers encouraged creativity more, children such as myself would enjoy school more.

    encourage it with rewards system etc.
    discourage it with the "because it just is" answer to creative questions.

    Discourages it because they have such strict regimes and so much to get through. School kids aren't really given a chance to show their creative selves and do as they please because of these.
