I've done this before with a distro of Linux. There are downloads available that will automatically make your USB stick have it on

I've searched everywhere even on the Ubuntu website (this is also Linux) and I can not find anything they do give you some tips how to but it confuses me, I have a spare 8GB memory stick I want to install it on so when I plug it into me o2 Joggler the OS will boot automatically therefore it becoming a computer, I have seen many videos on this but still i am lost.

Why will you not ever boot it again?

You can either use the .ISO or it will download all the files it needs

Basically it puts all the Ubuntu files on your USB stick and then makes it so your PC can start from it, then you can add a password to it when you start from it like you can in Windows and stuff
