we don't want to give too much away, but why dont you have a guess by the site name? ~ coming june 2010.

    Jobs
The Hit Network are after a selection of presenters for our radio. If your interested fill in the template below and pm it to me.

    • Name and Age -
    • Do You Have A Working Microphone? -
    • Have You Ever Had Radio Presenting Experience In The Past? If So, Where And How Long? -
    • Do you have experience in using SAM Broadcaster? -

If you don't have great experience, don't worry! We are going to be fair and give everyone a chance as we are a brand new station, so why dont you give it a go (h)!

Awesome, I will look into applying in a few weeks.

I can tell this is going to be a great project -- not another Habbo Fansite, haha.

    Gotta love online radios!

    Good luck with this project!

As a brand new station your aim is to ultimately survive and succeed. Hiring people with no or little experience isn't going to get you the listeners, and that means people not coming back - page views will be low and companies wont want to advertise and that small window for generating some revenue is closed.

I think you should reconsider your strategy and it be a case of once you have a dedicated team of DJs which are experienced to then start up a small training programme whereby lesser experienced DJs and perhaps those with no experience at all can enroll onto this and be trained how to DJ at a suitable standard. Then once they have had a sufficient amount of time being trained they broadcast live on air to your listeners.

Good luck with the project however, it sounds like you have it mostly planned out. If you do need any help in terms of ideas/ways forward then drop me a PM.

You shouldn't need experience , hiring fresh blood is a good technique tbh.

Care to elaborate on that? Because I can't for the life of me see how hearing someone broadcast "hi guys ummm errr heres the next song!" will get people coming back to listen again and also hiring experienced DJs may bring new ideas to the table allowing for the project to go further in a shorter period of time.

I totally disagree with you. If every station had the same old DJs it would be really boring to listen to, at least at this station we will have a mixture of staff and if it doesn't work out then we will check the structure out as we will do every 3 months and change things. You have to start off somewhere and starting off with the DJs who have worked everywhere in my experience isn't a good idea.

Thanks alot for all the replys though .

And listening to someone constantly go err and umm isn't boring? Frankly as a listener I couldn't care if the station hires new untalented/unexperienced DJs - I'm here to listen and to have a good experience - if I don't get that good experience I'm after then I'm not going to return. Starting off on a bad note will tarnish the brand/project and so "starting off somewhere" isn't at all a great approach to take.

As I said though, I do wish you the best of luck and it sounds like it could go somewhere if executed right.

You really think I would hire someone who is boring and not entertaining? This is the first step, the step after this is a on air demo. Of course im not going to hire anyone crap, I mean hiring people new to online radio instead of habbo.
